🌍 RSMECHS operates globally. We collect your tax information to comply with international reporting obligations (EU DAC7, US 1099-K, UK HMRC). You are responsible for declaring your own income to your local tax authority. This information is stored securely and never shared publicly.
⚠️ Tax Responsibility Notice: As an independent contractor on RSMECHS, you are solely responsible for declaring all income earned through the platform to your local tax authority and paying any applicable taxes. RSMECHS does not withhold tax on your behalf. You will receive an annual earnings summary from us to assist with your filing. For US-based mechanics earning over $600/year, RSMECHS is required by law to file a 1099-K with the IRS. EU-based mechanics are subject to DAC7 reporting to their national tax authority.

How Payments Work

●  50% deposit required once you and your mechanic agree on the job — this secures your spot. Always fully refundable if there's a no-show for any reason.

●  Balance (50%) collected once the job is completed.

●  Parts cost paid in full upfront before mechanic sources them.

●  A $3.50 platform fee applies to all bookings.

These are market averages only. Each mechanic sets their own rates. Your mechanic confirms the exact price before any work begins.

When do I pay?

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining 50% is paid once the job is completed. If parts are required, the full cost of parts must be paid upfront.

What if I need a service not listed?

Describe your problem in the booking form and your mechanic will assess and provide a custom quote. We cover most automotive repairs.

1. About RSMECHS

RSMECHS is an online marketplace connecting customers with independent mobile mechanics. RSMECHS does not employ mechanics directly — all mechanics are independent contractors.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using rsmechs.com you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

3. Bookings and Payments

A $3.50 non-refundable platform fee is charged at the time of booking to confirm your appointment. This fee covers platform operating costs and is not refundable under any circumstances. The service balance is paid directly to your mechanic upon completion of the work. Where parts are required, the full cost of parts must be paid upfront before the mechanic sources them. All payments are processed in USD through Stripe.

3a. Refund Policy

The following refund policy applies to the $3.50 platform fee:

✓ Mechanic cancels — Full $3.50 refunded to the customer within 5-10 business days.
✓ Mechanic no-show — Full $3.50 refunded to the customer within 5-10 business days.
✕ Customer cancels — The $3.50 platform fee is non-refundable as the platform service has been rendered.

To request a refund, contact us at info@rsmechs.com or call 658-207-6565 within 48 hours of the incident. Refunds are processed manually through Stripe and may take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement. RSMECHS absorbs the Stripe processing fee on all approved refunds.

4. Mechanic Subscriptions

Pro ($29/month) and Elite ($79/month) plans auto-renew monthly. Pro includes a 14-day free trial. Cancel anytime from your dashboard. No refunds for partial months.

5. Liability

RSMECHS is not liable for any damages arising from mechanic services. Mechanics are independent contractors. RSMECHS total liability shall not exceed fees paid by the user in the prior 30 days.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable international law. Users acknowledge the laws of their respective jurisdiction. RSMECHS operates globally and complies with applicable regulations in all regions of operation.

We collect your name, email, phone, location, and vehicle details when you book or register. For mechanics we also collect business name, speciality, and service area. Payment info is handled by Stripe — we never store card details.

2. How We Use It

To process bookings, send notifications, connect customers with mechanics, and improve the platform. We do not sell your data.

3. Data Security

Data stored on Supabase with industry-standard encryption. Passwords are hashed. Payments via Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant).
